1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses the Homegoing360 Platform, including families, concierges, providers, designers, and partners. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violating it may result in content removal, suspension, or termination, and may be reported to the authorities.

2. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

2.1 Unlawful use. Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or to facilitate the same.

2.2 Fraud and misrepresentation. Impersonate any person or entity; misrepresent your identity, authority, credentials, licensing, or affiliation; falsely claim authority over an estate or a decedent’s information; or engage in fraudulent transactions, payments, or claims.

2.3 Infringement. Upload, post, or transmit content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or that you lack the rights or consents to share — including photos or videos of other people.

2.4 Harmful or abusive content. Post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, hateful, obscene, or exploitative, or that harms or endangers others; or harass, bully, or abuse other users, providers, or staff.

2.5 Exploitation of the bereaved. Use the Platform to solicit, defraud, or exploit grieving families; make deceptive service or pricing claims; or engage in predatory or high-pressure conduct.

2.6 Security violations. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data; probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; circumvent authentication or security; or introduce malware.

2.7 Interference. Disrupt or degrade the Platform; overload infrastructure; use bots, scrapers, or automated means except as expressly permitted; or bypass rate limits or access controls.

2.8 Data misuse. Collect, harvest, or misuse other users’ information; use another user’s data outside the purpose for which it was shared; or violate any applicable privacy obligation.

2.9 Marketplace abuse. Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees; post fake or manipulated reviews; misuse leads or referrals; or violate any provider, concierge, designer, or partner agreement.

2.10 Misuse of AI features. Submit unlawful content to AI features, attempt to misuse them to generate harmful, infringing, or deceptive material, or present AI output as professional advice.

2.11 Misuse of memorial and tribute features. Post content that defames the deceased or others, that is not authorized by those with rights to the memorial, or that publishes private information about living people without their consent.

3. Content standards

Content you submit must be truthful, lawful, respectful of the deceased and the bereaved, and something you have the right to share. We may remove content and take action for violations.

4. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement. We may act with or without notice, in our reasonable discretion, consistent with law. We are not obligated to monitor, but may do so.

One limit on our own enforcement, stated plainly: a sealed recording cannot be deleted by us, by design (Terms of Service, Section 7.6). We can restrict access to an account and we will comply with a court order, but we cannot remove that content ourselves.

5. Reporting

Report violations, abuse, or safety concerns to care@homegoing360.com. To report intellectual-property infringement, use the Copyright & DMCA Policy.

6. Changes

We may update this AUP; the version number and “Last updated” date reflect the current version.

Community guidelines

Our community

Homegoing360 exists to support people through some of life’s hardest moments. Whether you are a grieving family member, a concierge, a provider, or a designer, we ask you to act with care, honesty, and respect.

Please do

  • Be kind and respectful. Treat families, providers, and staff with compassion and patience.
  • Be honest. Provide accurate information about yourself, your services, your pricing, and your credentials.
  • Honor the deceased. Keep memorial and tribute content dignified and truthful, and post only what you have the right to share.
  • Protect privacy. Share others’ information only as needed and as authorized — including the living people named in an obituary.
  • Deliver on promises. If you are a provider, concierge, or designer, do what you said you would, on time and as described.

Please don’t

  • Harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against anyone.
  • Exploit or pressure grieving families, or make misleading claims.
  • Post infringing, unlawful, deceptive, or offensive content.
  • Circumvent the Platform, manipulate reviews, or misuse leads.
  • Present AI output as professional advice.

If something goes wrong

Report concerns to care@homegoing360.com. We review reports and may remove content or restrict accounts. We aim to be fair, but our first priority is protecting families and the integrity of the community.
